The ZTE Nubia Z9 is the latest flagship produced by the Chinese company and it comes with some unique features.
The designs implemented by Chinese phone manufacturers are getting better and better and the ZTE Nubia Z9 is a shining example. The flagship phone comes after the launch of the Z9 Nubia Max and the Z9 Nubia Mini earlier this year and has some particular features that might turn it into an instant hit in some markets.
Three Different Variants
First of all, the Nubia Z9 comes in three different variants: Classic, Elite and Premier. Their specs are more or less the same and in line with those of most flagship phones today. They boast the latest processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM ( or 4GB, depending on which Z9 you choose) and storage capacities of 32GB (for the Classic) and 64GB (for the Elite and Premier).
The minimalist design implemented is quite stunning, as there are no bezels on the side of the 5,2-inch Full HD display. According to the guys at Android Authority, the front of the phones features capacitive navigation keys and even a fingerprint sensor in the Premier version. You will also find a dedicated camera shutter button on the sides of the ZTE Nubia Z9.
The battery has a capacity of 2.900 mAh, so it will probably be enough for most users, seeing as there is no QHD screen. ZTE Nubia Z9 will run Android 5.0 Lollipop and the main camera is a 16-megapixel model, while the secondary one has 8 megapixel and features wide viewing angles.
The Selling Point
But probably the most interesting feature is the Frame Interactive Technology. This means that users will be able to tap or swipe the edges of the screen in order to launch apps and accomplish all sorts of others tasks. Swiping with a finager on the side of the phone, for example, switches between apps. Touching the screen in 4 points, on the other hand, launches the camera and swiping with your fingers on both sides adjusts the brightness.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 will be available in China from May 21st and pre-registration is already available. We do not yet know if the phone will be available in other countries, but one thing we do know is that these phones will come with a pretty hefty price tag: the Classic will be $560, the Elite will be $645 and the Premier will cost you no less than $725.
