Looks like LG is all set to release the new version of Optimus G as a LG branded device has been leaked on the web, which according to the rumors circulating in the market is called LG Optimus G Pro. The device whose pictures have leaked looks good and features a large display along with a design that is somewhat similar to that of Apple iPhone 5 in my opinion.
Not only the pictures but the rumored specifications of the device have also appeared on the internet. According to the reports so-called Optimus G Pro runs the 4.1 version of Android Jelly Bean and features a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB or RAM, 32GB internal storage and more. Perhaps one of the most important feature of this device which has been allegedly leaked is its 5-inch 1080p display. If true it will be LG’s first smartphone to feature such a high quality display and will be able to compete with the likes of HTC Butterfly and Sony Xperia Z that feature the same high quality display.
LG Optimus G Pro or whatever LG decides to call it is also said to feature a 3000mAh battery, which is an upgrade to 2100mAh battery of the current model. Other than that LG Optimus G Pro is rumored to feature a 13-megapixel camera, be 10.1mm thin. The full dimensions are reported to be 139 x 70 x 10.1 mm. It is rumored to have a weight of 160 gram.
LG Optimus G Pro seems like a solid device with top notch specs and design. It is expected that LG will announce this phone at MWC event. Along with this 5-inch Optimus G Pro smartphone LG is also rumored to announce a 5.5-incher at the same event.
