The LG G Flex is by any standards a very good looking device. This has been one thing most have appreciated about it since the day it was launched. With it’s curved display, controls that are placed on the back and overall slick design, the LG G Flex made an impression on the judges at the 2014 IF Awards. And so they decided to award it with gold, the device becoming one of 75 to be given this honor. According to the guys at LG, the LG G Flex won the gold for “implementing a new approach to the smartphone interface by putting controls on the back and adopting a curved display, thereby adding immensely to the smartphone experience in terms of both ergonomics and quality”. It was not the only device from LG to gain a prize though, with the ULTRA HD TV and the LG G2, which featured controls placed on its back, also receiving recognition. Nevertheless. the LG G Flex does not impress only through its unique curved display and appealing design but through its hardware as well. Let’s take a quick look at what the LG G Flex features.

The LG G Flex is powered up by a 2.26 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 and features an Adreno 330 GPU. This comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage space. The downside is that out of these 32 GB only 24 will be available to the user. There are two cameras on the LG G Flex, a backward-facing 13 MP one and a front-facing camera which has 2.1 MP. Just like the LG G2, this device possesses an excellent battery, in this case a 3500 mAh one. The G Flex is overall a good device, although it has some minor flaws. Nevertheless, despite a recent strange ad, with features like its plastic OLED screen and back cover capable of hiding scratches, it could prove to be a hit in the future.
