Land Rover Discovery Sport – The 2.0 liter Ingenium family
The first one offers 150 horsepower and 380 Nm peak of torque and can return 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers with 129 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The second version of the 2.0 liter Ingenium engine will deliver 180 horsepower and 430 Nm peak of torque. Thanks to an automatic nine speed transmission, the car will be able to run from stand still to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds.
“Land Rover’s new family of Ingenium engines is truly class leading. By introducing it to the 2015 Discovery Sport, we can now offer enhanced fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions, while improving overall performance. The Ingenium engine confirms Discovery Sport’s position as the most versatile and capable compact premium SUV in the world”, said Murray Dietsch, Director of Land Rover Programmes.
More than that, the 2015 Discovery Sport will be fitted with a blue “Sport” badge in order to tell you that we are talking about an economical version. To shave fuel, the British car manufacturer has used 18 inch alloy wheels wrapped in low-rolling resistance tires and the final gear and the engine calibrations have been optimized to be as efficient as possible.
