Audi has officially unveiled the all-new R8 supercar. The new German model will be officially showcased during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show the event which will kick-off next week on March 3. On the outside, the new Audi R8 comes with the familiar single frame front grille, with standard flat LED headlight or optional laser lights and with a side curved profile.
At the back we see LED taillights, a bigger air diffuser and a retractable rear wing. The car is made out of CFRP and it is based on the Audi Space Frame architecture.
Inside the cabin, the new 2015 Audi R8 features the Audi Virtual Cockpit and the new infotainment system that works on a bigger touchscreen display. Buyers will have to choose between Alcantara / pearl Nappa leather while the accessories are made from carbon fiber and metal.
Under the hood, the new Audi R8 will be available only in the V10 configuration. The first version of the engine offers 540 horsepower and 540 Nm peak of torque. As a result, the car can run from stand still to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The second stage of the engine offers 610 horsepower and 560 Nm peak of torque. Under these conditions, the new 2015 Audi R8 will run from stand still to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.
