A couple of weeks ago, Mercedes-Benz have unveiled the price for the 2014 G63 AMG 6×6 “monster”. Today, the guys from Texas Armoring have announced that they will build a few models with B6+ armor.
The armored model will cost 1.335.000 USD and it will be able to tackle rugged terrain as well as the burst of fire from an AK-47 or an M-16. According to the Texas Armoring officials, the model can handle everything up to a 7.62×63 mm (.30-06) round.
The Texas-based company has announced that the pre-orders have stopped. The USA firm asked a 75% deposit and the armored 2014 G63 AMG 6×6 will be delivered to the customer late next year.
In case you forget, the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 will have a starting price in Germany of 451.010 Euros with VAT. Under the hood, the 2014 G63 AMG 6×6 comes with a 5.5 liter V8 bi-turbo engine that can deliver 544 horsepower and 758 Nm of torque. The power is sent to all wheels thanks to a 7G-Tronic transmission.
The car will be manufactured in 20 or 30 units per year and in case you wonder it weight 3.850 kilograms. The 2014 G63 AMG 6×6 has huge 37 inch wheels with approach and departure angles of 52 degrees and 54 degrees, respectively.
