Audi has unveiled the all-new 2014 A3 clubsport quattro Concept. According to the German car manufacturer, the new prototype will be showcased at Worthersee Show which will take place at the end of this month. The new 2014 Audi A3 clubsport quattro Concept is based on the S3 Sedan and it is powered by the five cylinder 2.5 liter TFSI engine borrowed from the RS Q3.
The German engineers have modified this engine and now it can deliver 525 horsepower and 600 Nm peak of torque. As a result, the 2014 Audi A3 clubsport quattro Concept can run from stand still to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, while the top speed stops at 310 km/h. This amount of power was achieved by installing a larger turbocharged and a bigger intercooler. The engine is matted to a seven speed S tronic transmission and the resources are put to the gravel via the quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Furthermore, the German engineers have installed on the 2014 Audi A3 clubsport quattro Concept a stiffer suspension, new carbon fiber ceramic discs brakes and special 21 inch alloy wheels.
On the exterior, the 2014 Audi A3 clubsport quattro Concept features Magnetic Blue paint and a series of CFRP body accessories. In addition, we see the new Audi Matrix LED headlights while inside the cabin the German concept comes with bucket seats equipped with four-point seatbelts.
For the moment there aren’t any plans to put the concept into production but this could be Audi’s way of saying the 5-cylinder 2.5 TFSI will find its way under the hood of the upcoming RS3.
