Cadillac has hit the luxury auto market for 2013 with a one two punch and the auto world has taken notice. The 2013 Cadillac CTS-V with its bold hand chiseled appearance sets this caddy apart from them all. Cadillac’s have been about Luxury since the first one rolled off the assembly line but performance just was not there, well this is not your father’s Cadillac.
For 2013 the Cadillac CTS-V rolls off the line with all the Cadillac comfort they can cram into this car. The leather front seats by Recaro with pneumatic bolster controls will keep you snug. Obsidian black faceplates and Midnight Sapele wood trim complete this suit and tie affair. The dash is well appointed with the luxury norms like climate control, large screen navigation and plenty of simulated carbon fiber to go around. The G-Meter and the six speed manual short throw shifter confirms that this may not be your father’s Cadillac.
The heartbeat of the Cadillac CTS-V is provided by a LS-A 6.2 liter supercharged V/8 producing 556 horsepower and 551 pounds-feet of torque via a 6 speed auto transmission or a 6 speed manual transmission directing the power to the rear wheels. With 0-60 mph numbers falling in at 3.9 seconds, stopping the 180 mph caddy proves to be a smooth and quick process with the Magnetic Ride Control Suspension and Brembo brakes.
Cadillac has perfected the Magnetic Ride Control suspension at the famous Nurburgring Racetrack in Germany and became the first car on street tires to break the 8 minute a lap barrier.
The 2013 Cadillac CTS-V is offered in a 2 door coupe, 4 door sedan and the very popular sports wagon model.
